چکیده

The countermovement jump (CMJ) is routinely used to assess changes in strength-power qualities. Common measures derived from this test include height, peak power and velocity. However, valuable information on training induced CMJ performance may be missed if phase subphase variables are not included the analysis also. objective of investigation was determine whether significant can occur absence height or peak-form metrics. Sixteen recreationally trained males undertook 10-weeks resistance consisting weightlifting, ballistic plyometric actions with heavy light loads. performed pre- post-test both metrics mean phase/subphase analysed. Mean velocity (p < 0.01) significantly improved following while = 0.18), 0.29), 0.24) did not. Work, depth, eccentric duration total movement too 0.01 0.03). Practitioners should consider using beyond instantaneous more thoroughly diagnose leg extensors training.

Sex Differences in Countermovement Jump Phase Characteristics

The countermovement jump (CMJ) is commonly used to explore sex differences in neuromuscular function, but previous studies have only reported gross CMJ measures or have partly examined CMJ phase characteristics. The purpose of this study was to explore differences in CMJ phase characteristics between male and female athletes by comparing the force-, power-, velocity-, and displacement-time curv...

Countermovement Jump Performance

Post-activation potentiation (PAP) following a bout of high-intensity exercise of short duration is known to produce both a fatigued and a potentiated state. There has been much research in the effectiveness of various PAP protocols, yet the type of dynamic muscle action utilized has seldom been investigated. Therefore, the present study aimed to assess whether an accentuated eccentric load (AE...

Development of a criterion method to determine peak mechanical power output in a countermovement jump.

There is a general agreement that the most valid method of measuring peak lower-body mechanical power output (LBPP) in a countermovement jump (CMJ) is by analysis of the corresponding vertical component of the ground reaction force (VGRF)-time history of the jump. However, there is no published standard protocol. The purpose of this study was to establish a standard protocol. The variables nece...

Leg Stiffness Asymmetry during Countermovement Jump

The purpose of this study was to identify whether the value of stiffness during two-legged countermovement jump in dominant lower limb is similar to the one in non-dominant lower limb. The research was conducted on 35 basketball players. Each participant performed three countermovement jumps with arm swing to the maximum height. Measurements employed a two Kistler force plates and a BTS SMART s...

The Influence of Training Background on Different Rate of Force Development Calculations during Countermovement Jump

The aim of this study was to look at differences in countermovement jump (CMJ) performance and selected kinetic parameters in athletes of different training backgrounds and to examine the relationships between these parameters. The subjects were 14 endurance athletes, 12 sprinters, and 13 fire-fighter aspirants (controls); each performed two CMJ on a force plate. The best jump of two attempts w...
